Surah Ar-Rahman and its Benefits

Once again everyone Assalamualaikum Rahmatullah Wa Barkatahu. Hope you all are doing well. Let’s try and get to know the meaning, history, benefits, facts, and English explanation of Surah Rahman. One of the most beautiful surahs of the Quran  (also known as the glory of the Quran).

Brief Summary about the Surah, Ar-Rahman

And we should always be thankful to him in any situation because he has done uncountable favors for us. In Surah Ar-Rahman a phrase comes a lot of times which is, “Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikuma tukaththiban”, which means, so which of the favors of your Lord [ALLAH SWT] would you deny? He is our Lord, he has created us. There are enormous favors which are done by him on us. So, we should always be thankful to him.

Benefits of reciting and listening to Surah Ar-Rahman:

Surah Ar-Rahman has enormous benefits. Every Muslim should recite and listen to it daily because it protects us from so many dangerous diseases, reduce conflicts between families, enlighten our lives, reduce problems, makes our Day of Judgment (Qayamat) easier, etc. The 10 main benefits of Surah Ar-Rahman are given below: –

1.  For Marriage

Today we hear a lot of complaints regarding marriage from people like they are not getting good marriage proposals for their daughter/son, or someone is not even getting proposals also and if comes then it doesn’t last for long. And sometimes boys and girls like each other but family members do not agree. Mostly the complaints come like this always.

So do not worry about anything because ALLAH [SWT] has given solutions for every problem in his holy book Quran. In this blog, I will share two ways by which you can resolve your marriage problems easily. The first one will be for parents who are worried about their children’s marriage, and the other will be for those boys and girls who like each other, but their families are not agreeing to their marriage.

Parents

Parents who are very worried about their daughter’s wedding should make a matter of reading this surah, for sure they Surah Ar- Rahman will get the benefit in a few days. For this purpose, read this surah like this…

Recite daily at the same time and in the same place for 21 days. This is a very reasonable stipend for this purpose.

*. For those couples whose parents are not getting agree for their marriage:

After Isha prayer in the night, being in wudu, turn towards MASJID UL HARAAM. Firstly recite any durud 11 times and after that recite the Bride of the Quran means Surah Ar-Rahman for 11 times with the intention of marriage and at the end recite the same durud which you did at the beginning 11 times. Inshaallah you will be benefitted soon.

2. For Patients or Illness

Surah Ar-Rahman is also very effective for physical illness. Reciting surah Rahman makes our health better. For this, it would be enough to say that if the illness is not curing with medicines just listen to this surah once a day daily, you will be benefitted soon and all kinds of illnesses will be cured within 21 days. Some dangerous diseases can also be cured by listening to Surah Ar-Rahman like cancer, kidney diseases, hepatitis c, heart problems, diabetes, etc.

3. For the Protection

If someone reads this Surah once in the morning, then an angel protects him/her from every bad situation the whole day. And if someone recites this surah in the evening, then an angel protects him/her all night. If there are any insects like snakes, cockroaches, lizards, etc., in your house so recite it [Surah Ar- Rahman] daily one time on the water and after 7 days, spray that water on the walls of your house. Inshaallah your house will be free from all types of harmful insects.

4. For Personal Problems

Surah Ar- Rahman is also beneficial for the cause of the problems in your family or life. If a person recites this surah continuously for 7 days, then not only his income will increase, but his pure wishes will also be fulfilled. If you read this Surah, then there will be fewer clashes in your family. Also if you are troubled by your unemployment, then you will get employed soon if you will recite this surah daily once. You will feel calm if you read this surah daily once.

5. For the Purification of Heart

Islam has placed extremely good emphasis on purifying the hearts. As a hadith with the support of Prophet Mohammed regarding the day of judgment, says:  “ ALLAH [SWT] will not look into your faces and wealth however he will see your pure heart and your good deeds”. People with sound hearts are also the rare human beings in this world. A   person who will recite Surah Ar- Rahman daily after Isha prayer, will purify his heart and he will die in purity. Prophet Muhammad promised that the person who recites this Surah is said to be a living person (Shaakinul Firdous) in the angels of land and sky. 

6. For the Day of Judgement [QAYAMAT]

If someone praises Surah Rahman every day, then he will be safe from the troubles caused on the Day of Judgement (Qayamat). The order of Allah (SWT) is that the one who will recite this surah will have his face shine like the 14th day birth of the moon on the Day of Judgement and even in this world too.

*. Facts related to Surah Ar-Rahman          

*. It is the 55th Surah of the Quran.

*. It has 78 verses which include 352 words, 1585 no. of letters.

*. The number of ruku’s (hold on) in Surah Ar-Rahman is 3.

*. Its stance in Quran is Juzʼ 27.

*. The other name of Surah Ar-Rahman is “Most Gracious”.

*. And at last, the most interesting fact about Surah Ar-Rahman is that Allah (SWT) has not inflicted punishment on it even once.

5. English translation of Surah Ar-Rahman in points:

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful, and he who is very kind

(Bismi Allahi Arrahmani Arraheem).

1. Most Merciful.

   (Ar-Rahman)

2. Shown the Quran,

    (AAallama al-Qur-an)

3. Made man,

    (Khalaqa al-insan)

4. [And] showed him expressiveness.

    (AAallamahu al bayan)

5. The sun and the moon [move] by exact computation,

    (Alshshamsu waalqamaru bihusban).

6. Also, the stars and trees prostrate.

   (Waalnnajmu waalshshajaru yasjudan)

7. Also, the paradise He raised and forced the equilibrium

    (Waalssamaa rafaAAaha wawadaAAa almeezan)

8. That you don’t violate inside the equilibrium.

     (Alla tatghaw expense almeezan)

9. What’s more, build up weight in equity and don’t make inadequate the equilibrium.

     (Waaqeemoo alwazna bialqisti wala tukhsiroo almeezan)

10. Furthermore, the earth He laid [out] for the animals.

      (Waal-arda wadaAAaha lil-anam)

11. In that is products of the soil trees having sheaths (of dates)

      (Feeha fakihatun waalnnakhlu thatu al-akmam)

12. Also, grain having husks and scented plants.

      (Waalhabbu thoo alAAasfi waalrrayhan)

13. So which of the courtesies of your Lord could you deny?

      (Fabi-ayyi ala-I rabbikuma tukaththiban)

14. He made man from clay like [that of] earthenware.

      (Khalaqa al-insana min salsalin kaalfakhkhar)

15. Furthermore, He made the jinn from a smokeless fire.

       (Wakhalaqa aljanna min marijin min nar)

16. So which of the courtesies of your Lord could you deny?

       (Fabi-ayyi ala-I rabbikuma tukaththiban)

17. [He is] Lord of the two dawns and Lord of the two nightfalls.

      (Rabbu almashriqayni warabbu almaghribayn)

18. So which of the courtesies of your Lord could you deny?

      (Fabi-ayyi ala-I rabbikuma tukaththiban)

19. He delivered the two oceans, meeting [side by side);

      (Mara ja albahrayni yaltaqiyan)

20. Between them is an obstruction [so] neither of them violates.

      (Baynahuma barzakhun la yabghiyan)

21. So which of the courtesies of your Lord could you deny?

      (Fabi-ayyi ala-I rabbikuma tukaththiban)

22. From the two of them arise pearl and coral.

      (Yakhruju minhuma allu/luo waalmarjan)

23. So which of the courtesies of your Lord could you deny?

      (Fabi-ayyi ala-I rabbikuma tukaththiban)

 24. Furthermore, to Him have a place the boats (with sails] raised in the ocean like mountains.

      (Walahu aljawari almunshaatu expense albahri kaal-aAAlam)

25. So which of the kindnesses of your Lord could you deny?

      (Fabi-ayyi ala-I rabbikuma tukaththiban)

26. Everybody upon it [i.e., the earth] will die,

      (Kullu man AAalayha fan)

27. Also, there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.

      (Wayabqa wajhu rabbika thoo aljalali waal-ikram)

28. So which of the kindnesses of your Lord could you deny?

      (Fabi-ayyi ala-I rabbikuma tukaththiban)

29. Whoever is inside the sky and earth asks Him;

       (Yas-aluhu man charge alssamawati waal-ardi)

      ; consistently is in [i.e., bringing about] an issue.

       (kulla yawmin huwa charge sha/n)

30. So which of the courtesies of your Lord could you deny?

      (Fabi-ayyi ala-I rabbikuma tukaththiban)

31. We will take care of you, O unmistakable creatures.

       (Sanafrughu lakum ayyuha alththaqalan)

32. So which of the kindnesses of your Lord could you deny?

      (Fabi-ayyi ala-I rabbikuma tukaththiban)

33. O organization of jinn and humanity,

      (Ya maAAshara aljinni waal-insi)

      if you can pass past

      (ini istataAAtum a tanfuthoo min)

      the districts of the sky and the earth, at that point pass.

      (aqtari alssamawati waalardi tanfuthoo)

      You won’t pass besides by power [from Allah].

      (la tanfuthoona illa bisultan)

34. So which of the courtesies of your Lord could you deny?

      (Fabi-ayyi ala-I rabbikuma tukaththiban)

35. There will be sent upon you a fire of fire

      (Yursalu AAalaykuma shuwathun min narin)

      furthermore, smoke, and you won’t protect yourselves.

      (wanuhasun fala tantasiran)

36. So which of the kindnesses of your Lord could you deny?

      (Fabi-ayyi ala-I rabbikuma tukaththiban)

37. Furthermore, when the paradise is part open

      (Fa-itha inshaqqati alssamao)

      furthermore, becomes rose-hued like oil

     (fakanat wardatan kaalddihan)

38. So which of the courtesies of your Lord could you deny?

      (Fabi-ayyi ala-I rabbikuma tukaththiban)

39. At that point on that Day none will be gotten some information about his wrongdoing among men or jinn.

       (Fayawma-ithin la yus-alu AAan thanbihi insun wala jan)

40. So which of the kindnesses of your Lord could you deny?

      (Fabi-ayyi ala-I rabbikuma tukaththiban)

41. The hoodlums will be known by their imprints,

      (YuAArafu almujrimoona biseemahum)

      , and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feet.

       (fayu/khathu bialnnawasee waal-aqdam)

42. So which of the kindnesses of your Lord could you deny?

      (Fabi-ayyi ala-I rabbikuma tukaththiban                         

43. This is Hell, which the lawbreakers deny.

       (Hathihi jahannamu allatee yukaththibu biha almujrimoon)

44. They will circle among it and burning water warmed [to the most extreme degree).

       (Yatoofoona baynaha wabayna hameemin an)

45. So which of the kindnesses of your Lord could you deny?

       (Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikuma tukaththiban)

46. In any case, for he who has dreaded the situation of his Lord are two nurseries

       (Waliman khafa maqama rabbihi jannatan)

47. So which of the kindnesses of your Lord could you deny?

       (Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikuma tukaththiban)

48. Having (spreading] branches.

           (Thawata afnan)

49. So which of the kindnesses of your Lord could you deny?

     (Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikuma tukaththiban)

50. In both of them are two springs, flowing.

      (Feehima AAaynani tajriyan)

51. So which of the kindnesses of your Lord could you deny?

       (Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikuma tukaththiban)

52. In both of them are of every fruit, two kinds.       

      (Feehima min kulli fakihatin zawjan)

53.  So which of the kindnesses of your Lord could you deny?  

       (Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikuma tukaththiban)

54. [They are) reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade,

      (Muttaki-eena AAala furushin bata-inuha min istabraq)         

      and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low.

      (wajana aljannatayni dan)

55. So which of the kindnesses of your Lord could you deny?  

       (Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikuma tukaththiban)           

56. In them are women limiting [they’re] glances,

      (Feehinna qasiratu alttarfi)

      untouched before them by man or Jinny –

      (lam yatmithhunna insun qablahum wala jann)

57. So which of the kindnesses of your Lord could you deny?

     (Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikuma tukaththiban)

58. As if they were rubies and coral.

      (Kaannahunna alyaqootu waalmarjan)

59. So which of the kindnesses of your Lord could you deny?

      (Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikuma tukaththiban)             

60. Is the reward for good [anything] but good?

      (Hal jazao al-ihsani illa al-ihsan)

61. So which of the kindnesses of your Lord could you deny?

      (Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikuma tukaththiban)

62. And below them, both [in excellence] are two [other] gardens 

      (Wamin doonihima jannatan)

63. So which of the kindnesses of your Lord could you deny?

      (Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikuma tukaththiban)

64. Dark green [in color].

       (Mudhammatan)

65. So which of the kindnesses of your Lord could you deny?

      (Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikuma tukaththiban)

66. In both of them are two springs, spouting.

      (Feehima AAaynani naddakhatan)    

67. So which of the kindnesses of your Lord could you deny?

     (Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikuma tukaththiban)

68. In both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranates.       

      (Feehima fakihatun wanakhlun warumman)

69. So which of the kindnesses of your Lord could you deny?  

      (Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikuma tukaththiban)

70. In them are good and beautiful women –

      (Feehinna khayratun hisan)

71. So which of the kindnesses of your Lord could you deny?

      (Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikuma tukaththiban)

72. Fair ones reserved in pavilions –

      (Hoorun maqsooratun fee alkhiyam)

73. So which of the kindnesses of your Lord could you deny?

      (Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikuma tukaththiban)

74. Untouched before them by man or Jinny –

      (Lam yatmithhunna insun qablahum wala jan)             

75. So which of the kindnesses of your Lord could you deny?

      (Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikuma tukaththiban)

76. Reclining on green cushions and beautiful fine carpets.

      (Muttaki-eena AAala rafrafin khudrin waAAabqariyyin hisan)

77. So which of the kindnesses of your Lord could you deny?

      (Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikuma tukaththiban)

78. Blessed is the name of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.      

      (Tabaraka ismu rabbika thee aljalali waal-ikram)
